Pears have been represented in many of my paintings for their humanised, organic shape.

The title, “Fall From Grace” is a metaphor we are all familiar with and experience at some point

in our lives or watch it in the lives of others.

The hyper real pears symbolise stability against the backdrop of a chaotic, fragmented, stressful

world, however, under a moment of pressure, weakness or temptation, any of us can fall from the

light into the abyss of judgment and retribution.

This painting was a finalist entry in the EMSLA National Still Life Art Prize.

This work is a multi layered and highly textured painting in acrylic on canvas.

Professionally framed in a gallery style floating box frame in  black timber.
