I really enjoy dark intense colours and these new road paintings are offering a great way to show the colours of Australia. This series has the inspiration from the The Red Road by J K Ewers.

There used to be a red road running o’er the rise,
Dippping down to fernland and climbing to the skies;
And there among the tall trees the sleepy shadows lay,
and the forest birds were singing there the livelong day.

The paint continues around the sides of the canvas and the painting is signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
