This is a portrait of famous Mexican artist Freida Kahlo, painted using impasto technique with palette knife. I have kept entire painting monochromatic, only depicting the flowers in her hair and few portions of her dress and accessories coloured. The reason for this was to tell the story of her life through it. Freida had a very struggling life due to her accident that led her bedridden for many years. But her spirit was still untouched by the tragedy. She continued painting from the very bed she was confined to , using herself as her muse. The colours in the painting represent this passion and strength of Freida that later made her one of the best artists in the history of art.

The artwork is framed in natural oak frame, ready to hang.
