In the first instance, my paintings reflect my love of light on form, and then, like a chameleon, they cloak themselves in the events of my everyday life and take on a new persona. This piece is no different and at the time I was painting it there were terrible dark clouds on the horizon this little red boat had to face and ultimately weather.
