Feeling the current by Sibylle Zinnocker

This series was inspired by my visit to the National Gallery of Victoria and the experience of standing in front of Rothko’s RED painting. How something seeming so simple can have such an impact on your body, if you allow yourself to be open to the experience.
My work is always very heavily influenced by colour and I wanted to explore a more minimal approach to colour and create pieces which are simple, yet dramatic and allow the hero colour to shine.

Finished with two coats of satin varnish to protect the artwork and signed on the back, to allow the orientation to be changed, depending on the buyers preferences. This artwork is custom framed and ready to hang on your wall.
