Fire Cracker Night by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

This original painting continues my experimentation with using different techniques to apply the paint. The work was created using Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, in fact anything except brushes.

The work is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces.

The work is also inspired by childhood memories of Cracker Night, a time for the family to gather around and enjoy lighting fireworks. A night that was fun and dangerous in equal measure as the unpredictable crackers would often spray into the crowd of spectators.

The work comes on a stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
