A departure from my usual subject, but bearing my trademark pop of colour, this piece was inspired by my son’s cricket playing days. This is not actually him but a teammate who was a couple of years younger than the other boys and just a tad shorter – those fence posts were only about a metre or so tall 🙂 As I recall, this didn’t deter him at all and he’s seen here nonchalantly awaiting his turn to bat.
