I liked a portion of a still life display at a studio workshop at the weekend.
These green leaves and small white flowers were facing away from me, and I didn’t see them until late in the day.
I made a preliminary sketch of them and painted them the next day back in my studio.
This is an acrylic painting on Hahnemuhle 220gsm acid free paper. Varnished. Unframed. H53 x W 39 cm

Framed in a tasteful pale woodgrain frame along with an inner white matt, and an outer olive green matt, tastefully setting off the colours in the painting.
