Flowing River by Michael Cartwright

A raging torrent gouges its way through a forest of Karris and Peppermint trees. I was inspired by the fast flowing water and decided to render it spontaneously and using plenty of texture. The location is the beautiful Harewood Creek in south Western Australia.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject. Rendered using a combination of brush and palette knife.
