Painted using mixed media, this original abstracted work on paper draws inspiration from my surroundings encountered during visits to the Currumbin rock pools on Gold Coast.

Using an amalgam of techniques and mediums including intricate pencil drawings, mono-printed textures and painted pieces in a process of deconstruction and reconstruction I layer and paint to create a kind of chaotic yet harmonious rhythm to reflect the essence of this magical place.

I relish the thrill and challenge of discovering a visual order through this dynamic process of layering. Framed – custom built pine coloured timber frame, finished with a cream coloured matt surround and glass.
