FOE AND TRAGEDY

Bleak is my vision
Dim is the room in which I lay
Curtains drawn shut
Dark are the shadows that follow me
Hidden is the sun
Turbulent is the voice within
Sombre is its tone
What tragedy has forsaken me
With anguish I erode
Slow is its pace
For no mercy is found

Why do I dwell in the dark chasm within
Poisoned is my mind
What dreadful loathing has come upon me
What foe stands before me
To be conquered and swept away
For a glimmer of Small light may be found
Why then do I ponder away from all that is hopeful
Swaying away from the abundant Beauty of life that is always near
Yet I continue to walk away
Do I inflict my own pain
Allowing false illusions to tremor near
Shadowing away any glimpse of light that may shine within
How may I slay these demons
Oh heavenly father, please forgive me for I have drifted away
I am a stray dog in heavy rain
I have lost the light
Blind is my vision
For the enchantment of life’s ripe fruit pass me
Love is nowhere to be found
My inner foundation crumbles as a raging avalanche
Why have you forsaken me
When urgent
I am in need

No more, no more
As days pass, I am yet still to be found on unstable ground
Free me of myself
To hold my gaze before me
To witness the soft leaves that Brussel in the gentle wind
To adhere to their grace of letting go
To fall into the being of life’s ‘suchness’
To be still
Falling into inner silence
Foreseen demons shall be slayed and gone with upon the doorstep that enters my kingdom
As I may tremble upon the righteous path
The resurrection of a new birth may be found
Illusion brought to light
My faults forgiven
I shall awake towards the eternal sun
My vision shall scope from truth
A rebirth shall emerge
For the love I give, is the love I be
