One of my favorite pastimes is to go walking in the forests where I live. I like to collect bits and pieces of fallen flora from the forest floor. In creating this sculptural vase form, I have tried to emulate the feeling of an Australian Forest Sunset.

Techniques used include the making of textured boards with stencils and tiler’s glue. A variety of glaze finishes have been employed to portray a forest sunset.

The vase is both sculptural and functional.
