Additional Information

Funky Fruit Pears by Rosemary Legat – I participated in a Funky Fruits Online Workshop with Art of Flow.  During the workshop participants were encouraged to let their creative juices flow and put their own spin on each layer.  This workshop was definitely not a paint by numbers type of scenario.

As an artist it is always great to learn something new.  Being brave, trying out new things can be very rewarding….may not always work but sometimes they result in something magical happening.

Acrylic paint, acrylic ink and tissue paper collage pieces on stretched canvas.

I thought of different ways of applying paint, then painting acid free white tissue paper which subsequently became torn collage pieces to use in my Funky Fruit creations.

My torn collage pieces were applied to my Funky Fruit Pears intuitive layered base with wild abandonment followed by applying paint, using the conceal to reveal method, which toned down my wild and wacky background leave my three Bosc pears exposed.

How delightful would Funky Fruit Pears look in your kitchen or chosen space.

Sides of canvas painted black.

Signed on the front.

Please check artwork dimensions as my gallery photos are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.
