Garden Jewel – Abstract Floral by Amber Gittins – Large modern landscape garden floral abstract inspired by the shapes and the bold colours of flowers in a garden. I painted this one with an expressive brushstroke creating movement and energy within the piece. Layers of flowers and leaves bringing depth and interest into the artwork. Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling, the seasons we are in and what I want the viewer to also feel. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel.

Wanting to invoke the feeling of being in a tranquil and mesmerising botanical garden both blue and green are a dominant colour with splashes of bold pinks and warm yellows. Green is a colour that can represent new beginnings and growth and it also signifies renewal and abundance. Blue can be associated with memories of our love for the outdoors, it often symbolizes serenity, stability, inspiration, or wisdom. It can be a calming colour and can create a lovely ambiance within your home decor.
