Additional Information

Garrigarrang nura – by Alanah Jarvis.
Garrigarrang nura means sea country in the language spoken by the Eora people in Sydney and who have lived there for thousands of years. Garrigarrang embraces every part of Australia’s coastline, the beaches, the sea, plants, animals, estuaries and islands. With the deepest respect, this painting pays tribute to the rich cultures and spiritual traditions of the Salt Water People who call sea country home, and the way they live with nature.
Aren’t we lucky in Australia to have such a vast country, from the Humpback Highway across to Ningaloo Reef, with whale sharks, world class waves and pristine beaches all at our doorsteps.
This painting pays tribute and respect to Australia’s first peoples and that of the Salt Water People.

The painting is placed on professional grade canvas, ready to hang with the sides painted navy to create a faux frame.
