Creating this spontaneous Abstract expressionist painting I used the ‘Action Painting’ method. Where I allow my subconscious to speak to me. I enjoy watching the evolution of the artwork and the story it has to tell through the act of applying colour and painting.

This abstract expressionist piece, ‘Gatherings 2″, a follow on in from Gatherings’ was created using my own technique of laying down colours and then using my gift of Pareidolia to find human formations within the seemingly abstract painting. I usually find figures in my work without trying. I think this is due to my interest in life drawing and the human form.

Gatherings 2: Using neutral olive green and pink colors, this large piece explores the idea of people working together in community to support one another.

This artwork evokes a sense of comfort and peace with its neutral tones of olive greens and pink hues. It would be an interesting addition to any room adding a soothing energy, visual interest as well as being a thought-provoking conversation piece.
