Additional Information

Golden Sounds by Meg Shaw – This is an atmospheric contemporary landscape that is multilayered and textured. It is bold in composition and colour, with a magical feel. The inspiration comes from remembered images of stunning Gariwerd Country sunsets (The Grampians) in Western Victoria. The title relates to the experience of closing your eyes and listening to the sounds of quiet and harmony. This original work of art is an impression created with respect to First Nations people, particularly Djab Wurrung and Jardwardjali. Thoughts go out to this beautiful environment after recent fires.

‘Golden Sounds’ has been painted on stretched canvas and with a handmade frame of Tasmanian Plantation Oak. It measures approximately 64 x 95 x 4 cm. I have used mainly Australian made, environmentally friendly acrylics, with some use of inks, too. My tools are brushes, dabbing rags, palette knives and fingers.

The photos show the finished painting and in situ, close-ups, various angles of the frame and the painting in progress. Please note that the situ shots are virtual and are intended to show what the painting might look like hanging on a wall.

‘Golden Sounds’ will be sent to you via Auspost. It will be placed in a crate, wrapped in recycled bubble wrap and packed with recycled cardboard. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. As I live in rural Tasmania now, please allow a little more time for delivery. Thank you.
