The idea for this piece was inspired by a trip to the Australian bush.
The rivers and ancient trees with their reflection in the water created such a beautiful vista that I had to put paint to canvas.
The little boy fishing, that I have added, was from my imagination, but I could see him sitting on those rocks in my mind’s eye.
I have used a lot of texture to add depth and my use of oil paint was required to give the richness to the work.

I love to paint trees and rocks and can’t pass up a reflection when I see one. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have creating it.
