With this painting I am again trying to portray the human figure with the least amount of traditional ‘shapes’ as possible.

I hope that with everything around the figure.. i.e the white around the head area and the yellow that the figure is based on (or emerging from) gives it a certain mood.

There are areas where I have intentionally painted the form traditionally, then wiped it away leaving an abstracted area. I like doing this technique with human figures as to me it represents the dissolving of the outer layers of a person to reveal an inner truth.
