Growing Up Italian, a limited edition of only 6 prints by Sara Valentino, is a view into her childhood and life in an Italian family.

As a first generation Australian, growing up accepting all the rituals and family gatherings was tricky but so enjoyable. This is my family and probably 2 of the things that created connection across generations: sharing food and having that short black espresso after meals! The colour highlights are specific: the green bottles of home made ‘vino’, the pasta that was a staple and the hand that created connection through making and sharing. This was a ‘commission’ for my family, but I have created a few extras for sale.

These are signed and numbered on the front. They are unframed.
