‘Gullies Edge’ captures a visionary threshold where earth, sky, and forest converge in dreamlike distortion. Twisting trees rise like ancestral spirits, while jagged crimson outcrops and boulders mark a land that feels both scarred and sacred. The landscape, abstracted and alive, pulses with a synesthetic rhythm—part memory, part metamorphosis. In the centre, a diamond-heart motif—ringed with ochre and jade— becomes a focal talisman. My painting, rooted in mythopoetic reverence for the natural world, renders the gully not as a passive backdrop but as a living presence: a site of fracture, emergence, and hidden intelligences.

With its echoes of early Modernist landscape mysticism and its undercurrent of ecological fragility, ‘Gullies Edge’ invites the viewer into a liminal zone—where ancient earth memories and visionary seeing become one.
