“Hammer of Witches” – or Malleus Maleficarum the book attributed to Kramer in 1486 was used to torture and burn women at the stake. Kramer blamed witches/women for his own lust and his views also became the views of the church and the law. The book was used to try these women as witches. Witches were defined as having red hair, green eyes and their blood was said to turn copper into gold.
