Frog Happy by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, spray paint, water colour on 300gsm paper.

Recently I created a few intuitive layered bases with the view of using them as habitat bases for animals or little creatures at some point in the future.  During the initial layering process I quickly knew a specific one would be used for a amphibia creation.

In subsequent layers, further paint, markings, sgraffito added creating further depth and texture along with the foliage and frog details to complete the vision that had grown in my imagination.

Frog Happy has a very organic, minimalist look and feel however soft details are provided through its many intuitive layers.

Framing required for Frog Happy to hang therefore my art gallery include examples of how this delightful creation could look framed and hung.
