HAZY SHADE OF WINTER: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

This original Mixed Media Abstract Artwork was created using recycled paper and the reverse side of Recycled Advertising, to build up a textured effect on the canvas. Then the work was heavily layered with more Paint and paper to build up the Abstract effect.

The artwork continues my experimentation with using different techniques to apply the paint with Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, stencils in fact anything except brushes.

The artwork is a Large Abstract Statement piece and will give maximum impact to any room.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

The work comes on a stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
