Held Light by Sam Brett – This work is influenced by my ongoing interest in skies and light, particularly moments where colour feels suspended and time slows down. I’m inspired by the softness found in Turner’s later atmospheric works and the Impressionist approach to layering light and tone. By keeping the composition simple and abstracted, the focus remains on mood, balance and stillness rather than a specific place.
