Hidden Tears by Rosemary Legat – This piece like many, started by selecting one of my intuitive layered bases which was full of texture and energy.

Thoughts of clowns popped into my head every time I looked at my chosen base therefore the decision of what to use as inspiration was made rather quickly however she developed slowly over a number of lengthy painting sessions with my imagination being a invaluable resource.

Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, spray paint, stencils (artist designed & created), intense pencils, ink pens on 300gsm mixed media paper (requires framing to hang).

The layered intertwining details create a one of a kind fantasy piece, rich in colour, details and feeling.

This compelling artwork would add so much interest to any space.

As Hidden Tears requires framing however my gallery photos include examples of how this unique piece could look framed and hung.

Hidden Tears is a very organic piece with a slightly rough paper edges which can be covered during your chosen framing process or be embraced and left exposed.
