HIDE AND SEEK is a vivid contemporary painting, hand painted onto deep-edged smooth art panel. It has tones of violet purple and magenta. by Christine Hyde  – HIDE AND SEEK represents all that is wonderful about the essence of the Australian Bush I see on my walks in the Blue Mountains where I live and paint. It captures the changing light across new seasonal lush undergrowth growth. The mediums and techniques used for this artwork are explained below.

TECHNIQUE
This vivid painting was created using various techniques combined to allow increased flow, interaction and separation of colours to create interesting patterns where pops of colour can be seen emerging from underneath. This creates an added dimension add to the artwork creating an interesting and one of a kind painting that can never be replicated. A gorgeous variety of intense ink pigments were used to create Violet-Red undertones including teal, magenta, rainforest green, sapphire blue and grey. The sides of the painting are finished in smart black.
The overall hues pay homage to the new 2022 Pantone Of The Year, Very Peri, so very on-trend for your interior styling
