Hill Amongst Clouds – One of my favourite paintings so far, this depicts an empty, barren hill surrounded by low hanging clouds. I painted this on a rough piece of wood because I love the texture it added to the painting. I intentionally cut the wood into a thin long strip, to allow the clouds full rein of the painting.

The main draw of this painting is the intense sense of movement. The hill is sold and still, but you can feel the wind whipping past, taking those low clouds with it.

The wood is thin enough to be framed. Please note that the painting does not come framed.

This painting would look amazing in a dark frame with dark matting.
