“I love exploring different themes and incorporating flowers into my work gives me great joy.”

“”Hmmm” is from the “Timeless” series and questions whether time is linear as she and her bouquet rip through the fabric of time. The clock sitting ever present next to her reminds us that we should be trying to free ourselves of the restrictions of time – the numbers in the clock are floating off its face, mimicking this idea.”

The hibiscus and their abundant open petals are thought to mirror the cycles of life and creation. They are also associated with the heart chakra, representing love, compassion and emotional healing. The rose symbolises personal growth, transformation and spiritual awakening and are thought to promote inner peace and balance.

The painting took many days and hours, each brushstroke and mark making made deliberately to give such a beautiful finish. This painting would hang beautifully on any wall. The colours are striking very much suited to the surrealist genre Teresa likes to explore.
