‘Home is here’, small mixed media painting on canvas by Marijke Lambregtse, ready to hang and signed on the back

This little artwork ‘Home is here’ has developed from my preliminary drawing for the large painting ‘Home for now’ (sold). It’s part of my latest series about home and place and where we find ourselves to feel at home. Of course it went it’s own way and direction and now has its very own character which I like very much. A small painting just right for a little space to fill with colour and interest! I used acrylic paints, pen, pencil, text as usual and mostly a cloth to apply the paint to get this effect.
