Hope Tree by Kerry-Anne KnibbsHello, and thank you for taking a closer look!

“I have a deep appreciation for symbols and abstract forms, seeing them as catalysts that embody energy in its purest form. In Feng Shui we find that artworks are one of the eight key elements used to attract positive energy and set intentions.”

Hope Tree is a painting inspired by a real-life story shared by Ravi and Alex. They ran a bird sanctuary in Sydney’s West that was struggling due to nearby construction. Things seemed bleak, but they were able to rally support from the community, securing a relocation to Bargo, in the South West of Sydney, where their Amazing Bird Sanctuary could thrive. In the painting, I’ve included Black Cockatoos soaring freely, symbolizing the theme of conservation. The message from Ravi and Alex is clear: conservation is crucial, especially as these magnificent birds face the threat of extinction. It’s hard to believe, but it’s a reality we must confront.

But let me shift focus and share the deeper meaning of this painting with you, the viewer. Hope is vital in life. We all need hope, but like happiness, it’s something we must choose. As you gaze at the Hope Tree, I invite you to reflect on five things in your life that represent hope. Then, take it a step further—express gratitude for those five things, as if you already have them.

Feng Shui teaches us that trees bring balance and harmony, and they can even help create financial good fortune. So, I’m sending blessings and good fortune to Ravi and Alex, for their amazing work and for our cherished Black Cockatoos.
