Hot Chocolate by David Clare. I am usually drawn to bold, clean and usually cool colours, but I chose the opposite for this painting. A pleasant surprise is the result, seeing as these colours are not natural to me. One constant however is energy, I always try to paint in the moment with lots of controlled, spontaneous movement. The splashes of colour interacting with each other cannot be created any other way.
