I dig a French bikini – Extra Large” by Kerry Inkster.

“I dig a French bikini” named after a lyric in the Beach Boys “California Girls”. Kerry wanted to feel that fresh, sunny, summer of youth – hence the painting. Bright and contrasting green and pink – colours of the season – giving that fresh vibrancy that would be perfect for the beach house or the pool pavilion – or just because you love those summer feels. A bright and “popped” interpretation of a still of a You Tube video.
Kerry has used a contemporary approach using techniques such as expressionism and pop art to capture her model in contrasting colours to give a sense of movement and energy.
Painted onto un-stretched canvas, the face of the painting measures 190.5cm x 121cm. Kerry has allowed a further 8 cm all around the painting to allow for stretching by your preferred professional framer – this will give you a painted edge to carry around the sides of your stretched canvas. Signed on the back.
