‘I LOVE shopping’  ,by Susanne Bianchi.

This was a fiinalist in the Lethbridge Small Scale Art Award. When I paint, I often suggest the human form and like to have a little bit of fun.

This light and bright abstract piece suggests a female figure.  What is she doing?  She is joyfully shopping.  This painting is a result of spending some time in Surfers Paradise a while ago prior Covert and all around me the young fashionistas were happily carrying large shopping bags full of goodies. They seemed to be very happy.

The medium used is oil and cold wax.  It allows me to apply many layers to create interest and depth. Myriad scratches are gouged in to the layers of blue, grey, orange, green and white.

Do you enjoy her exuberance?  Besides adding interest to an office or studio, it  would sit nicely on an art shelf to add a pop of colour.
