I Won’t Bite by Elise Judd

You can probably tell that this artwork is inspired by the women of the Silent Silver Screen. This is one reason why I decided to use a limited palette as I wanted it to reflect the movies of the time. This work hangs like an old vintage poster.

With the women in these old movies it was all about the eyes and their facial expressions. You can see her taste for freedom and adventure in her eyes.

As my background in partly in Textiles, I have made this piece as a wall hanging which means that it will come to you rolled in a tube with the poles included. I have hand stitched the coloured highlights on her eyes and the circles on the cheetah.  (This makes the actual dimension 100cm wide, you could always decided to have it stretched onto a canvas if you prefer that look.)

I have shown a photo of two other wall hangings in my studio so that you can get a feel for the size of the works.

This is a very adaptable piece of work as it comes with multiple hanging options and includes poles and D-rings on attachment fabric (optional to use). It is lightweight, making it easy to get upstairs and move around.

This piece is made in acrylic, charcoal, fabric and stitching.
