Illuminate is my reflection of the magnificence, beauty and vulnerability of trees… It is an original painting on professional quality canvas. My art practice involves drawing the trees with ink, charcoal and painting on site. I sit quietly with the trees and use the processes of rendering to become fully present, connected and responsive to the trees as complex life forms and sentient beings. I feel their love and majesty pour over me, protecting me, giving me strength and inspiring me to express their forms.
