Illumination by Millie Simic – This setting has a particular mysterious quality to it and I just had to paint it, although I’m not religious, I can feel a spiritual connection with this scene. One thing about the ocean, it is never still and those deep blue indigo clouds are amazing. Storms, for some, can be ominous and fearful, but to others it can be a feeling of exhilaration and excitement. We all have had storms in our lives, some scary, some expectantly exciting. One thing for sure is: we all come out of it a little wiser, a little calmer. There is something deeper in the process of our personal storms don’t you think?

The painting has an ink underpainting and artist quality acrylic over painting.

This piece is slightly textured, varnished in satin and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
