Susanne often paints Australian flora and fauna to remind us that the Australian countryside is a mesmerizing sight, full of vibrant colors and natural beauty.

Australian king parrots, also known as green-winged king parrots or Alisterus Scapularis are the most popular parakeet in Australia, especially in the eastern part of the continent. It lives mostly in humid and heavily forested areas such as the eucalyptus dominated areas where there are lots of trees.

I painted this cute guy on this absolutely gorgeous piece of timber that was gifted to me by a friend. All timber is unique and tells its own story, each tree matures differently depending on where it grew and its environment. I particularly love this piece.

The background was created with my collage papers and paint and my ‘colourful guy’ was painted in acrylic.

It is finished in a satin varnish, has a felt bottom to protect your furniture and all timber had been completely sealed.

Free standing, my ‘Colourful Guy’ is ready to make himself at home in your house.

It is signed on the back and comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
