I’m All Ears by Carol Forster

Since the 17th century the familiar symbol of the heart has been used to represent a variety of human emotions. This idea has influenced me to make a series called “Matters of the Heart”  consisting of ceramic pieces intended to create humorous and literal representations of human emotions often expressed in everyday conversation.  “I’m All Ears” is a ceramic wall sculpture from this series. There is a keyhole in the back of the heart, as shown in the image, to aid in wall hanging.  The heart is also able to be displayed sitting on a table.
