The artwork emerged from the very beautiful description of his daughter loving this everyday ritual of teatime after school with her Japanese teacher and carer and growing into a very passionate and patient artist creating most intricate work on ceramics. I felt a deep sense of the need for serenity and times of few words in this daily ritual, of letting nature and calm into our very being.
