Chinnamasta is a cosmic wisdom power, a Dasa Mahavidyas, a manifestation of immanent and transcendent

goddess energy, of ancient tantric traditions.

The Matangi River series of paintings celebrate individualistic artist-born imagery as somatic embodiments of the

Dasa Mahavidyas, themselves expressions of the primordial Shakti; and are rooted firmly in the mytho-poetic realm

of art as bhakti, devotion and spiritual practice.
