Walking the beach and watching the tide coming in inspired this artwork. The juxtaposition of solid rock against incoming rolling waves, the soft and the hard, echoing life, made an impression I wanted to capture.

With acrylic underpainting to set the scene, I then chose oil paint to finish the work, for that final gloss and sparkle of water.
