As a child I grew up in rural Australia where the night sky is blacker and the stars brighter.

(Stars are brighter in  rural areas as there is no light pollution from street lights and cars etc)

One night I decided to pull my bed right up to the window so I could watch the night sky before I went to sleep.

That’s where my bed stayed until I left home a few years later.

I was amazed at how much activity and movement was in the night sky.

I used to wonder what it was like up close in amongst those stars and planets and what was on the other side.

The depth of the night sky was infinite…..
