“Its Hyyyyydromatic” by Elisha McGuckin is a ‘retro’ inspired pop art painting.

“Its Hyyyyydromatic” an aptly titled still life painting of a ‘vintage’ Grease Videotape.

As part of an ongoing obsession with pop culture I came across this old video and knew immediately I had to paint it for my most recent collection.

A background inspired by 90s skate, and a detailed expressive study of the video cover.

My painting, as always, is intended to capture my subject in a playful manner, not striving for perfection but the perfect imperfection.

It does not require framing, as the sides are painted and sealed with varnish. It is ready to hang. I have included a couple of images to best represent what the work could look like framed.

This original painting is signed on the front and labelled in archival pen on the back, I also provide a Certificate Of Authenticity.
