Jetson Five: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

This Neo Pop Painting is a continuation of my current series exploring high tech ideas.

The original Mixed Media Artwork was created first by layering Recycled Street Posters & paint to build up the Abstract texture background effect.

Then vintage animation character George Jetson was then painted over the top, with the colour palette inspired by Basquiat & street art.

This artwork continues my experimentation with using different techniques to apply the paint Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, stencils, pencils & brushes.

The artwork is a Neo Pop statement piece and will give maximum impact to any room.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Insitu examples are not to scale.

The work was created on a recycled canvas and is ready to hang.
