Karri Colors 2 by Michael Cartwright

Karri trees are eucalyptus trees which are native to south Western Australia. I was inspired by their tall, colorful trunks and masses of golden foliage contrasting against the dark blue sky. A textured landscape spontaneously painted in alla prima style using mainly palette knife.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject.
