Additional Information

My inspiration for this landscape painting of the Flinders was the beauty and magnificence of it’s scenery.

The Flinders Ranges are the largest mountain range in South Australia’. The ranges feature spectacular scenery and magnificent colours, and are a special source of inspiration for artists.

The first humans to inhabit the Flinders Ranges were the Adnyamathanha people (meaning “hill people” or “rock people”) whose descendants are the traditional custodians and co-managers of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park.

Cave paintings, rock engravings and other artefacts indicate that the Adnyamathana lived in the Flinders Ranges for tens of thousands of years.
