Lily & Snail by Rosemary Legat – A painting inspired by backyard nature.

A painting created over a number of layers using acrylic ink, acrylic paint, markings, glazes and different painting methods.

I rather like the raw, organic feel which is the opposite of the Calla Lily when you see her in person

Felt the urge to add a snail and a few abstract leaf/flower markings in white ink pen.

I painted the rough border in sepia which flows with the rustic vibe and is included in the artworks dimensions.

The raw edges can be covered during your chosen framing process or embraced and left exposed.  Do you know which option I would choose?

As Lily & Snail requires framing to hang my artwork gallery includes in situ examples of how she could look framed and hung.
