There is something about the sleek sophisticated appeal of a black canvas. It provides a strong backdrop to any design of art. For me it was the perfect contrast shade to highlight in white chalk the love between a father and daughter. It allowed the figures in the piece to shine through with beauty.

In this drawing a protective masculine presence holds true to the left of drawing. His arm is outstreched around a young girls shoulder, his daughter. Bringing her in towards him as a sign he will always be there for her through her life.

This story follows a similar narrative to Linear IX a story of eternal love.
