Lisa 2020 by Brendan Walsh (coldghost)

Urban Art Pop mixed media Collage.

Posters from the streets, recycled into Artworks for the home.

This original artwork is made using Recycled Street Posters collected off the Streets of Sydney and Melbourne & takes inspiration directly from Graffiti in City Laneways and Advertising Billboards.

The background was built up with layers of paint and paper before the main image of Mona Lisa was added and overlaid with paper and paint and given the most essential fashion accessory in the modern world, a face mask.

The Artwork comes Framed in Black and ready to hang, and it is mounted under a clear acrylic sheet.

This artwork has a textured finish created by built up layers, paint splatters and torn paper, a visual effect mimicking the look you would see in the street where this effect is created over time. These imperfections are part of the overall look and feel of the finished work.

Some of my works are also inspired by Mexican Art and Outsider Art, and have Elements of Sacred Geometry & comment on modern society.
